Pros:

Public washroom (not open until May long weekend)

Free parking

Age appropriate equipment

Lots of green space

Skate park

Chess board tables

Lots of shade

Tobogganing hill in Winter

Cons

Located near busy intersection, although far from street

Toboggan hill can be busy, therefore sledders should exercise caution[/fusion_text][/one_half][one_half last=”yes” spacing=”yes” background_color=”” background_image=”” background_repeat=”no-repeat” background_position=”left top” border_size=”0px” border_color=”” border_style=”” padding=”” class=”” id=””][fusion_text]Located on the South West corner of Wharncliffe Rd and Commissioners Rd

This updated park  has great attractions such as:

  1. For the smaller children under 2 years, a section that has smaller slides, an inclined climbing wall, tubes, motorcycles, teeter-todder, and more.
  1.  A section for older kids with climbers and poles to climb, larger slides and swings for all ages.

This park also has a public washroom, skatepark, a ton of green space for running, playing sports or flying kites, and free parking located at Wharncliffe Rd.

During the Winter time, this space doubles as a toboggan hill. Walking past the park and washrooms (which will be closed by then), you will come to a horseshoe shaped hill. Just be aware of the other kids and families going down the hill as people sled from all directions here.

(Google maps does not show the proper area when searching for this park. It’s at the SW corner of Warncliffe/Wellington
