Hello fellow dads,
My name is Jay and I was born and raised in London. I am a father that’s trying to keep up with our 2.5 year daughter Ella. We live in the east end of London #WeTheEast and love spending time walking and exploring local playgrounds. Most Saturday mornings you will find us at the Westmount family Center for the “men can play too” playgroup.
By day I am a CNC machinist working out of a factory in Ingersoll for about 7 years now. I am a proud union activist with the United Steelworkers. Working shift work in a factory can be difficult. It can be hard to find a balance between work & family, luckily, I have a great partner who helps create a good balance.
I joined Dad Club when our daughter was about 2 months old and went to my first park meetup when she was about 11 months. Since then we have been hooked, trying to attend as many meetups as we can from the Sunday morning gym playgroup to the Sunday night basketball league. My daughter has been able to make some great friends and I have been able to meet so many great dads. It was a great honour when the board asked if I wanted to become a director. I look forward to meeting more dads in the future and making an impact within the community.
